Michaela Jacobson

Clinician (PLPC)

Seeking therapy can be difficult and intimidating; however, you just conquered the hardest step
of them all by pursuing therapy.

As a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, I am excited to leverage my personal, professional, and academic experiences in support of others and their pursuit of their best self. I look forward to supporting clients in the exploration of their unique experiences and deepening their awareness in order to have a greater understanding of themselves, as well as a way to alleviate issues.

Counseling sessions address current areas of concern within the realms of emotions, career,
identity, and relationships, as well as symptoms stemming from past trauma. I believe that meeting people where they are, making sure they feel heard and seen, and using a collaborative
and strengths based approach in therapy is important in leading people to achieve their goals.
By engaging in a collaborative, multi-modal approach, I work with my clients to look at the past
and the present, and engage with kindness in all parts of one’s story to experience freedom and wholeness.

Usually a crisis, anxiety, or depression bring us to therapy. One of my goals is to provide a
comfortable, safe, and nonjudgmental environment to help you discover the sources of these
symptoms and work through them holistically so that when life happens upon you, you are
equipped to navigate it better than before. It is my honor to walk alongside you and help you be
a catalyst for this process and to tap into the potential I believe that we all possess.
